HI Guys, great Q&A idea!

I'm struggling to send sms text via the OpenSPOT interface (Not via a radio), every time I send an message it fails. I'm told I need to setup the Dashboard but, I can only see Hytera, ETSI, Motorola and Chinese radio on my dashboard. What should I set this to please?

I'm connected to the UK main server but I've also tried others.

Many thanks Best regards

Daren M3LOX

Dashboard setting affects functionality of BrandMeister DMR Server. Server has its own SMS interface - https://wiki.brandmeister.network/ind... But we are going to provide new public REST API

Please make sure you've enabled message interception in openSPOT, and set your openSPOT message DMR ID to your valid DMR ID. These settings are available at the bottom of the DMR SMS page on the web interface. Also please try sending with the latest beta firmware.

I use a DVMEGA/MMDVMHost hosted on a Raspberry Pi 3. The HT I use is a Tera 7400. My experience with SMS on Bandmeister has been mixed. However, I have found:

  1. Both parties must the Brand type field to ETSE under their self-service profile.

  2. On my Tera 7400, the data type is set to, "MOTO IP Data".

  3. SMS message exchanges generally work between myself and; MD380 and Motorola HT variants.

  4. If the operator on the other end is on a repeater, acks come back quickly, if the other operator is using a hotpot, the acks are in consistent. Lack of ack does not the operator did not receive the message.

The question was about sending message through openSPOT's web interface, not by using a radio.
