How do you create a club talkgroup? I belong to radio club that has members worldwide. The majority of the membership has hotspots, but it is not feasible in our budget to put up repeaters. We do want a talkgroup where we can pass traffic and have nets without tying up very little repeaters. Thanks for any advice. 73s

Hello Tom,

As Norman was explaining it, you are free to use any Talkgroup ID. Brandmeister accepts any valid Talkgroup ID programmed in a radio codeplug. By default, all Talkgroups are dynamic.

I'd recommend you start by talking to the Brandmeister Master Server administrators where your repeater(s) is(are) connected to, for recommendations on how to choose your talkgroup number. They will tell what others have done, which will give you the opportunity to keep the same "standard" which makes it ultimately easier for everyone.

If at some point you would like this club talkgroup to be listed in the Brandmeister talkgroup name list (link specified in Norman's post), you can contact a Brandmeister master server administrator (or brandmeister support team member) and let them know the name you'd like to have listed. Before you make this request, make sure that your club members are generating significant traffic to show the usefulness in having it listed.

Let me know if you have any further question.

Hi Tom

You can always pick a TG and just add 09,08,07,06,05 to the end off it. Just check on the Last Heard dash board that it is not being used by someone else.

XXXX09 (310009, 310008, 310007 etc) I would stick to the 4 dig TGs

All TGs can be found on this link https://api.brandmeister.network/v1.0...
