Is there a way to change the "Linked To" and "Unlinked" voice on our Ireland 2721 sever to another English speaking one as the one we are using is very distorted, if so then how is it done and where do we get the new voice files to upload ? This is the one that is heard when dialling in a reflector and is manly used by UK users.

Hello John,

The audio prompts are located on the BrandMeister master servers. Depending on what language you have selected in your Brandmeister Selfcare portal, you will hear the corresponding voice.

The Brandmeister development team usually communicate with Master Server admins to coordinate the recordings in the native language of their country, and submit it back to us. The recordings are then deployed to all masters, to playback on the locally-connected repeaters.

Although the English recordings could be changed for only one master; therefore only impacting the repeaters connected to this master; we're trying to keep them all identical across the masters. You could if you wanted propose a new set of prompts, and run it by the US/UK community. If they are okay with it, BM could implement it in one of the next releases.

I believe that would be controlled by the repeater owner, or whatever node you are connecting to.

On my Shark RF those kind of announcements come from the Shark itself, not from the network.

I would contact the repeater administrator. That kind of stuff doesn't go out over the network as far as I know.
