I have been asked why Reflectors can not be used on Slot 1 ?

Can BM Admin ex-plane how slot 1 and slot 2 work and the difference between them.

Many thanks

Unfortunately we have no plans to extend functionality of reflectors. Anyway, most of reflectors are mapped to normal TGs which is accessible on any slot.

Well, it is quite simple, reflectors are firmly tied to slot 2. Period. :-)

Of course there are reasons for it. Usually BM is not so "slot aware", but for reflectors this was chosen to keep things a bit clearer, as refs are good for all kind of confusion anyway. The fix assignment for TS2 TG9 is somehow an exception, and this kind of thing is difficult to handle when being assigned totally free. Remember, BM is a world wide network, quite large, and growing larger every day, and to keep the routing working loop/interlock-free is somehow demanding.

Ralph, dk5ras.
