I'm running an MD-380 and Openspot. I set up a codeplug and haven't heard anyone but Oliver ON3YH sent me a link showing I was connecting (openspot should be configured correctly) so I downloaded the MD-380 BM Codeplug from the Brandmeister Facebook page and put that in my radio after adding my call and ID. I also changed the freq on openspot to 437. to match the codeplug and I have United States/3101 for the server as I did when Oliver said I was connecting. When I key up I just get a tweedlede sound like I have no antenna attached but the openspot is flashing green like crazy. I also tried the United States/3103 server and nothing. The green light on the radio comes on briefly when I change the openspot. I noticed that the codeplug does not have a RX group list, is it not needed using Brandmeister?

Thanks for any help, Guy KG7MEL

Found the tweedlede source, the MD-380 BM Codeplug I downloaded has the "Talk Permit Tone" turned on. So it appears that I am making the connection but still not hearing anyone.

Guy, have you had a look on the SharkRF forums ? There are similar descriptions there that might contain the information that you need. You might also be more lucky if you post a question there. :) 73's !

Oliver sent me a link that I was connecting to Brandmeister so the openspot is configured correctly but I don't hear anyone. I started getting the tone using the codeplug. I'll post the question on the shark forum too, thanks.
