Creating an international talkgroup

I'm a member of a fandom in which there are a significant number of radio amateurs. I was thinking it might be really good to have a meeting place for all of us. This group is international so I'm not sure how we might go about requesting a TG be created as the instructions say we should contact the country coordinator for the area we are in as the group is decentralised and we don't have a "home" country.

Is such a talkgroup possible/permitted? Is there a procedure for this please? What should we do?

Thank you.

Hello Paul !

There are international talkgroups on the BrandMeister DMR. They are the ones starting with a 9. A three-digit talkgroup starting with a 9 would most likely be what you'd end up with. We're trying however to only create international groups once we see some significant and regular traffic going through to avoid using up all the 9XX range. How many DMR amateur radio will use the group, and are you currently using another talkgroup that we could see the traffic pattern for ?

Thanks and 73's
